Triggy is my first Ridgeback and I have a very special bond with him, he has a very special place in my heart. Triggy was bred by Alex Schofield in York and I consider myself to be very lucky to have come across Alex and Triggy. I didn't have Triggy to show but purely as a companion. It wasn't until he was about 3 years old that we had a go at showing - I don't know who was worse Triggy or me. We just jumped straight into it without any ringcraft training ( what a mistake ) we just followed what the dog in front did. Triggy has never really liked showing and so has only been lightly shown. He would much rather stay at home relaxing on the settee. I have found since owning ( or is it being owned by ) Triggy that Ridgebacks are not for the faint hearted but are a breed that you either love to bits or completely hate. I am the former and would have loads if only Rob would let me. Since my early days of showing I have been bitten by the showing bug ( unfortunately Triggy hasn't ) and so now I concen trate on my other Ridgeback Troy, who is Triggys' half brother.
